1. Screen structure and mesh

The geometric structure of wire mesh refers to all one-dimensional and three-dimensional appearance of wire mesh, and the basic elements of its geometric structure are the mesh number of wire mesh and the diameter of wire mesh.

For example, 120-34 represents 120 wires per centimeter, and the diameter of each wire is 34um.

The mesh of the screen refers to the number of wires in each centimeter,

The diameter of the mesh refers to the nominal value of the diameter of the unwoven mesh.

The geometric structure of the screen is divided into: flat knot screen (1:1) and oblique knot screen (2:1, 2:2, or 3:3)

The mesh size of different weaving methods is different, which determines the ink penetration of the screen (the ink penetration is an important factor to determine the printing effect)

2. Determination of mesh opening: (W)

When the particles in the screen printing ink are to large (the average particle size of the ink in printing must be less than 1 / 3 of the mesh).

The fineness of lines and dot printing levels (too large holes leak too much ink, so you can't get fine lines)

Peeling performance of ink (for example, the large particles of ink lead to screen blocking, which affects the penetration of ink in the next printing)

The thickness of the printing ink layer (the opening is too small and the ink penetration is too small to obtain a thicker ink layer)

Generally speaking, the screen with the opening larger than the diameter of the mesh can reproduce higher resolution than the screen with the opening smaller than the diameter of the mesh. (of course, the fluidity, viscosity and other factors of the ink will also affect)
